Some people are saying that selling the commons to private interests
benefits the public good.
I say not.
In Covina, California, our elected officials agree that the time is right to consider selling our Civic Park. Citizens here are starting to pay attention. Property owners, business owners, and all residents need to start paying very close attention to what is going on in local city government. Our city is not the first to move in this direction. Like us, your city may be well down that road, long before you realize what’s been sacrificed for your ‘benefit’.
